HEART BASKETS

I found the directions on how to make these in a newsletter for a Norwegian Lodge, they make them to hang on the Christmas Tree. I thought they were super cute, you can put candy in them or even use them for other holidays.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

(1) One 12 x 12 Sheet of Paper

Glue or Stapler

Scissors or Paper Cutter

STEP 1:
Cut 2 Strips of Paper 4″ in width you will now have 4″ of paper left over to cut down to use as the handle.

STEP 2:
Fold the Strips of paper in half, on the open ends trace half a circle. You will be Rounding Off the open ends.

STEP 3:
Make your cuts where you just traced the half circle, now on the closed ends measure out evenly spaced 1.33″

STEP 4:
Place the 2 halves as if they were making a heart, make small marks along the upper edges, these will be your stop points for your weave strips.

STEP 5:
Cut straight lines on the marks you made in Step 3 up to the marks you made in step 4

STEP 6:
Begin the Weaving Process – See Illustration

STEP 7:
Attach handle with glue or staples and fill with treats
