The Misfit Shine is a wearable activity monitor. You can use it to track your activity all day long, from work, to play. Set goals for how active you want to be each day and try and fill that goal. With its built in led feature of being able to check your progress through the day, you don’t even need to check in with your phone.

However the app that links with it provides so much more data for you to fully experience what the Misfit Shine has to offer. It also updates your shine over bluetooth when there is a firmware update or whatever.

When you open your Misfit Shine you will find the Shine, a wristband, a magnetic clasp, your 1st battery to get you started and a tool to open your Shine.

More or less you pop your battery in, close it up with the 12 inside and the 12 on the back lined up and just get moving.

There is a quick setup within the app to make sure your Shine is up to date with the latest firmware. When you do this update new features show up in the app, like the Auto Sleep Tracking feature.

As much as this is geared towards individuals that exercise a lot, it is also great for someone who is wanting to be more active and helps set a goal and try and keep it.

Myself and my hubby are planning on working out a lot in the near future so for now we are just getting used to being tracked all the time. Where as I am having issues hitting my goal each day, he seems to hit his, I however think his job helps him cheat because he rides a tractor that vibrates to much and adds steps to his day that way. LOL

I am quite impressed how this small device can go from being sporty looking to elegant with just a quick change of what is holding it. It really helps it become a piece you want to wear all the time.

So whether you are just doing your daily life activities or exercising this helps you keep up with how much your moving through the day, and when its night and time to sleep, switch your app to night mode, tap your Shine 3 times and it will tell you how well you sleep each night.

When I first saw something about the Misfit Shine I had positive thoughts about it, and now that i have had a chance to experience it myself, my thoughts were very much real. I really like this cute little button, and can’t wait to see what other things Misfit Wearables Labs might come up with that it can do 🙂
